Silenced by the judges as we reclaim our birthright To thrive amongst the land under the kingdom of God Within these walls lies a crowd with blinded eyes Confined to faithful dispensation The testament is torn and withered with resentment Envious Mouths By which I am forsaken We flee the village We journey forth Indignant bodies watch with no remorse The song we sing to soothe our fretful nerves A solemn Hymn to the WRATHFUL God we serve 1. “God the All-righteous One! man hath defied Thee; Yet to eternity standeth Thy word, Falsehood and wrong shall not tarry beside Thee; Give us peace in our time.” A vast wilderness approaches near Our somber melody slowly fades Raising our hands to the heavens above We pray in silence awaiting our terrible FATE How can a man build a home from ash My faith is strong but my body cannot last The field is barren with only dirt and rock What’s left alive consumed by rot 1. “By The fire of thy Chastening, Earth shall to freedom and truth be restored” 1. “God the all merciful! Earth hath forsaken Thy ways of blessedness, slighted Thy Word; Bid not Thy wrath in its terrors awaken; Give to us peace in our time, O Lord.” The call o’ the wood grows ever louder I pray o’er my babes, lest they be devoured SOMETHING WICKED LIES IN WAIT 1. God the Omnipotent Henry F. Chorley // John Ellerton
3.
The fields are beset with blight Unrelenting frost hath blanketed the soil My skin is numb and withered 1. “O God, my Ref-uge, hear my cries” Onward to the wood We must search for provisions Starving and stumbling through the barren grove As the day wilts into the night The shadows thrive, Choking out the Light Gnarled roots and twisted branches they thirst for blood 1. “Their rage is leveled at my life, My soul with guilt they load, And fill my thoughts with inward strife To shake my hope in God.” Behold the dying ember, the last beacon of hope Against the ravenous darkness… You cannot hide for long Lo i can hear you breathing The scent of youth still resting on the fog O child I can spare you I know you’ve heard my song But i grow weary of WAITING Awoken by the sudden silence An empty cot where the babe had lain The stale stench of loss seeps in Hours of searching but in vain 1. “By morning light I'll seek His face, At noon repeat my cry, The night shall hear me ask His grace, Nor will He long deny.” LORD is this retribution? Thou know’st of my deceit O God return the innocent I crumble at thy feet Her Vile figure amidst the flames Shedding ancient SKIN Writhing in the blood of a newborn Unspoilt but wet with sin A gruesome offering A brutal sacrifice An Illusion of the feminal Created to entice… Gazing at the moon A groan with every breath Malevolent machinations Amongst the shades of death 1. O God, My Refuge, Hear My Cries by Isaac Watts
4.
Wretched are we, who stray from the flock Where our lord and shepard, cannot keep watch Absconded to escape the wrath of man But thy judgement, thy plague hath scorched the land 1.“O Lord, to Thee I cry; Thou art my rock and trust; O be not silent, lest I die And slumber in the dust.” GOD, I beseech thee GOD, with all your mercy GOD, I know my sins I swear that I will not falter again (JOHN) O Child, I’ve heard thy cries Against the silence Dost thou seek refuge from my will? Every famine, every curse Sins must be repaid in kind Thy own blood, dances with the devil And thou dares to question me? I’ll show thee mercy Gouge out thine own right eye 2.“Not what my hands have done Can save my guilt-y soul; Not what my toil-ing flesh has borne Can make my spir-it whole.” If blood must be spilt I shall enact thy will Wretched are those, who stray from the flock Where our lord and shepard, cannot keep watch The wicked ne’er escape the wrath of god There must be retribution Divine strength courses through my withered frame The Kingdom of God must remain unscathed Righteous fury, it permeates my every breath 3.“For the wages of sin is... death” Every famine, every curse Sins must be repaid in kind The ears of the ireful, easy to bend and their nature so easy to find A call from on high, pointing fingers at wretchedness Brings out the hatred in man For the children of God do not seek the truth Rather carve out their sight with a knife 1. O Lord, to Thee I Cry; The Psalter, 1912 2. Not What My Hands have Done; Horatius Bonar 3. Romans 6:23
5.
Lo I know that evil has entered my home For the almighty one beckons sacrifice I would cut off my right hand ‘fore it fell to sin And I will be damned if you are innocent 1. Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live The word is resolute and so is my will 1. Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live Abominations shall be cast unto the flames I hear her scream, press my hand to my mouth And watch in terror as he drags her out The putrid stench of hatred, only to be slaked by slaughter I taste blood, as mother is slain ‘fore daughter Bloodlust, it's only natural, like breathing for the wicked Decadent and delicious, the deepest darkest wishes of man is to: tear and rip and rend For I know that evil has entered my home My own flesh and blood must be ripped from the bone 1. Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live The word is resolute and so is my will 1. Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live Abominations shall be cast unto the flames DO NOT FLEE INTO THE WOOD I’LL NOT REST ‘TILL I’M DRENCHED IN YOUR BLOOD Child, I know you’re the evil that entered my home So i’ll lay the broken body of a harlot at the foot of the throne Come my child, for I will never do you harm I knew at first sight you’d fall into my waiting arms A broken little waif, pursued by wrath Shelter from the storm is all i have 1. Exodus 22:18
6.
Wake my child, there is no need to fear the dark For I, the sun, will lead you to the morning But do not mourn your innocence This is the path to deliciousness Listen! your sisters beckon Listen! Your god is deafened 1.“What though the hosts of death and hell All armed a-gainst me stood, Ter-rors no more shall shake my soul, My ref-uge is my God.” What kind of shepard bathes his lambs in blood What kind of father, could stand where my father stood The first of man, seduced by my hand For Eve lay bare, fruit ripe with despair You’ll find your refuge here A trade so simple my dear… A tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye If you wish to live your father must die Listen! Your god is dead Listen! Blood must be shed At my right hand you’ll find thy seat, the ground will tremble beneath thy feet O child, the book hath been signed and sins shall be repaid in kind Where is the beast I once called daughter? A wretched harlot who forsook her father Thy mother’s body a fruitless sacrifice But surely thy blood will suffice? Father, Tis I the child that you seek Thy faith may be strong, but thy body’s still weak Father, even the righteous must rest And now you’re so still with my claws on thy neck 1. My God, How Many Are My Fears! from Psalm 3, Isaac Watts (1674-1748)

about

CHG 218
Great is the suffering of life, especially when one has fallen off course. SIX is back with a vengeance. Riddled with biblical references about the wrathful god we serve, and with an ancient/old-school feel throughout the album in not only the imagery, but also the lyrical content. SIX brings you back to the dark times, and the ages of plague and death. Will you seek refuge and survive or will you be cursed by every famine this earth has to offer.
