Onward to the wood
We must search for provisions
Starving and stumbling through the barren grove
As the day wilts into the night
The shadows thrive, Choking out the Light
Gnarled roots and twisted branches they thirst for blood
1. “Their rage is leveled at my life,
My soul with guilt they load,
And fill my thoughts with inward strife
To shake my hope in God.”
Behold the dying ember, the last beacon of hope
Against the ravenous darkness…
You cannot hide for long
Lo i can hear you breathing
The scent of youth still resting on the fog
O child I can spare you
I know you’ve heard my song
But i grow weary of WAITING
Awoken by the sudden silence
An empty cot where the babe had lain
The stale stench of loss seeps in
Hours of searching but in vain
